Sustainability at Dubai Airports
At Dubai Airports, sustainability is about creating long-term value for the people, communities and economies our airports connect.
As the operator of Dubai International (DXB), the world's busiest international airport, and Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC), we recognise both the scale of our impact and the responsibility that comes with it. That means reducing the environmental impact of our own operations, supporting our people and communities, strengthening the resilience of our business, and working with partners across aviation.Our sustainability agenda is built around three interconnected pillars: Planet, People & Community, and Business.
Together, they guide how we operate today and how we are preparing our airports for tomorrow.
What Sustainability Means to Us
A more sustainable future for aviation cannot be delivered by one organisation alone.
Our approach begins with the areas where Dubai Airports can make the greatest direct impact, while using the scale and connectivity of our airports to bring together airlines, government entities, suppliers, concessionaires and other partners across the aviation ecosystem.
Through our ESG agenda, we are taking practical action to improve environmental performance, invest in people and communities, strengthen governance and safety, and support responsible long-term growth.

Sustainability Through Collaboration
The transformation of aviation requires collaboration at a scale no one entity can achieve alone.
Through the oneDXB Sustainability Alliance, Dubai Airports is bringing together partners from across the airport ecosystem to turn shared ambition into coordinated action.
We also participate in international platforms and industry partnerships that are helping shape the future of sustainable aviation, while working with organisations across the UAE to test and scale practical solutions at our airports.
At the Dubai Airshow 2025, our Sustainability Showcase brought together 30 partners to demonstrate technologies and solutions that are helping to shape the future of aviation.
