Frequently asked questions

Could schedules continue to change after operations resume? chevron-down
Yes. During this period, flight schedules will continue to adjust as airlines reposition aircraft and rebalance their global networks. Travellers should continue to check directly with their airline for updates, even if a flight has previously been confirmed.
When will operations fully stabilise? chevron-down
Operations are being progressively scaled in coordination with airlines and relevant authorities. Dubai Airports continues to closely monitor the situation in coordination with the relevant authorities, and our focus remains on maintaining the highest standards of operational safety, security, and wellbeing of passengers and staff.  Further updates will be shared through official channels.
Should I travel to the airport if my airline has not confirmed my flight? chevron-down
No. If your airline has not confirmed that your flight is operating, please do not travel to the airport. Airlines provide the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding individual flight status. Coming to the airport without flight confirmation may result in you being turned away.
How are flights being prioritised during the restart? chevron-down
Priority is being given to departing flights. Flight movements will be gradually increased based on several factors, including capacity and airspace availability.
Why are some flights operating while mine is not? chevron-down
Airlines determine which flights operate based on several operational factors, including aircraft positioning, crew availability and airspace capacity. As we facilitate and coordinate operations for multiple airlines, individual flight decisions are made by each carrier.
Could flights be suspended again after resumption? chevron-down
While a limited resumption of operations has begun, aviation environments are dynamic. Scheduling adjustments will occur. Travellers are strongly advised to monitor their airline communications for real-time updates before coming to the airport.
