Transfers

Experts at connecting travellers, thousands of transfer guests are managed every day. Here’s how connections are made quick and seamless.

Locating the transfer desk
At the dedicated transfer desks, receive the boarding pass for the onward flight; simply find them by following the signs, using interactive maps, or asking Guest Experience Ambassadors.

Baggage
Guests who don’t need a visa or who are holding a Dubai visa and are transiting through DXB on separate tickets will need to clear passport control, retrieve baggage, and check in for the connecting flight.

Guests who don’t have a Dubai visa and are transiting through DXB on separate tickets and need assistance in transferring bags can approach Marhaba Services at the transfer desk. Fees apply for this baggage transfer service.
Reaching your gate

Guests can access Terminal 1’s D Gates with a short trip on an airport train. In Terminal 3, travellers can walk between B Gates and C Gates and take a short ride on the airport train to A Gates. Guests transferring between concourses and terminals, please consult with your airline or Guest Experience Ambassadors upon arrival.

Dubai International (DXB)

DXB holds the title of the world’s busiest international airport and comprises three terminals: Terminal 1, Terminal 2, and Terminal 3.  Terminal 3 includes three concourses: A Gates, B Gates and C Gates, which are primarily used by Emirates, flydubai, United and Air Canada. D Gates at Terminal 1 serves numerous international carriers while Terminal 2 (F Gates) offers access to regional and international flights.

Dubai World Central – Al Maktoum International (DWC)

DWC is approximately 60km from DXB. If a connection requires changing between DXB and DWC, clear passport control, collect baggage, and take a taxi or the Dubai Metro to Ibn Battuta station. From there, take the dedicated bus to DWC.
