Majed Al Joker is the Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Airports, responsible for overseeing one of the world’s most complex airport operations. His remit spans terminal and airside service delivery, safety and security, baggage operations, sustainability, and the Airport Operations Control Centre (AOCC). In 2024, his portfolio expanded to include corporate resilience, underscoring Dubai Airports’ commitment to maintaining seamless operations at scale while balancing record passenger growth with world-class service standards.
With more than 28 years of global aviation experience, Majed brings exceptional depth of operational insight combined with strategic foresight. He has held several senior roles within Dubai Airports, including Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs, where he was responsible for driving operational and corporate excellence, and Senior Vice President of Terminal Operations. He first joined the organisation in 2008 as Vice President of Terminal Operations, playing a key role in strengthening operational performance during a period of sustained growth for Dubai’s aviation sector.
Prior to joining Dubai Airports, Majed served as Deputy Director of Airport Operations at Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC). He began his aviation career with Emirates Group, where he held a number of international leadership roles, including Outstation Airport Services Manager across key global hubs and Regional Manager of Airport Services (West Asia), overseeing operations across 24 international stations.
Majed holds a Master’s degree in International Business Management from Heriot-Watt University (UK) and is a graduate of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Leadership Programme (2024). His contributions to the sector have been recognised through multiple industry awards including the Business Impact on Customer Experience Award (Westford Awards, 2023) and recognition as Personality of the Year in Business Continuity (London Business Continuity Institute, 2017).
Under his leadership, Dubai Airports has earned global recognition for its operational excellence and safety standards, including the Operational & Safety Excellence Award (2023) from Airports Council International. The organisation has also been named the World’s Leading Airport at the World Travel Awards for four consecutive years (2022–2025).
In parallel, Majed has driven a strong accessibility agenda across the airport, spearheading initiatives that led to Dubai International Airport becoming the world’s first international airport to achieve the Certified Autism Center™ (CAC) designation in December 2023.
A respected voice in global aviation, Majed champions the oneDXB community, bringing together government entities, airline partners and service providers under a unified approach to operations. Through this collaborative model, he has strengthened Dubai Airports’ operational resilience, driven efficiency at scale, and ensured the consistent delivery of a seamless guest experience.
